Beach Grass

This 8 x 10 oil painting on gessoed hardboard is similar to beach grass scenes I have painted before. As I painted it this time, however, I concentrated on values and warm and cool colors. The shadows of the grass were quite dark, the sunlit grass was warm, and the sand was a mixture of warm and cool. I painted quickly with a loose brush.
