Into the Wild--Snow Fields--Original Landscape Oil Painting

This week I started re-reading one of my favorite books, Jon Krakauer's Into the Wild. It is a tragic, yet compelling story that takes place in part in the wilds of Alaska in the Denali National Park and Preserve. When reading Krakauer's descriptions, I am inspired to create a depiction of a cold Alaskan landscape. I lived in Alaska as a very young child and have vivid memories of the cold, damp atmosphere.
