Taking a little break from my stint at still life painting, I painted this 5x7 inch miniature landscape. It is based on a photograph from a summer in Tennessee and was deemed one of three options for the Wetcanvas December Landscape Challenge. I begin with an underpainting of Napthol Red, one of my favorite reds. Letting the red show through provides a bold contrast to the greens of summer. It will eventually join the other field paintings in my Etsy Gallery. Technorati tags:
