This is a 24x30 inch oil painting that I recently finished. It is based on a smaller 5x7 inch study I painted a few weeks ago. Translating a successful small painting to a larger scale doesn't always work well, but I'm fairly pleased with this attempt. I liked the sparkle of the autumn leaves, the texture of the grassland in the foreground, and the contrast of the blue and orange palette.
