Apples are still on my agenda for painting. I enjoyed mixing all the colors before painting. Then I worked in a paint by numbers style only blending where each color met the next to avoid sharp edges on the skin of the apples. It was fun and the effect was pleasing. I'll be playing with this style again in the future. The painting is an 8x10 inch oil painting on a gessoed hardboard panel. Technorati tags:
