One of the delights of living on the west coast of Washington State is that I can drive from the mountains to the beach in just a few hours. I spent last weekend on the Washington Coast. It was three days of beautiful clear sunshine and walks on the beach. It was the miles of sandy beaches and dune gralss that inspired this 8x10 inch oil painting. Every time I visit the beach, the landscape has changed. Winds, waves, and shifting sand are sculpted in so many surprising ways.
